Top Sheet
aka Budget top sheet
The one-page summary at the front of a production budget that totals every category before you drill down into line items.
The top sheet is the first page a producer hands a financier. It rolls every section of the budget — above-the-line (script, producer, director, cast), production (crew, equipment, locations, set construction), post (editorial, VFX, music, sound), and the contingency line — into a single page of totals. Most film budgets are 200+ lines deep; the top sheet keeps the conversation moving. StoryboardCanvas Budget generates a top sheet automatically from any of the 6 included production templates (feature / TV / short / doc / commercial / music video).

Every top sheet we generate stays linked to the rest of the project — change a scene heading and the top sheet updates automatically. No re-import. No copy-paste. One project file from script to wrap.
